Ohh maryacclaim i can understand why you have done this.
It's sad... but if you where raised in the troof.. you dont have many ways to go.
Is it so that everyone you know.. is an dub? Then it is hard to come outside.
All alone... friends and social living ment alot to life quality, dont it/they?
(from one who had fade.. and still have the relatives talk and invite your family to parties...)
(but you have to lie sometimes..... but hey.. they had lied to me the whole life.. so what the heck :-) )

Sweden is said to be in the absolute top countries with private Internet-access.
It firmly exploded about 4 years ago.
Now virtually every household has 2mbit+.
JW Sweden Baptist stats:
2007 481
2008 402
2009 312!
What does it say to us? except for the significant drop...
Shall we compare Sweden and US
JW/baptist ratio
US 1.096.502 pubs / 34739 bptzd = 31.6 Witness to accomplish 1 Bptzd.
SWE 22.054 pubs / 312 bptzd = 71.8 Witness to accomplish 1 Bptzd.
It is very hard for them to find new JW:s here...could it have something to do that it is so easy to find information nowadays?
That the most swedes read english fluently?
That sweden has very much information out at internet from x-JW:s in swedish language?

Interesting...according to these figs they baptized 276000, which is less than last year
Publishers increased by 188000....where did the missing 88000 go?They have died.
Take 7,046,419 split that with an average lifetime, why not 70,46 years?
There you have 100.000 statistically
I guess that many of those that have come to the truth (mostly in developing countries?) the last years, is not of that many old people that will die immediately.. = less dead.

by cantleave indo you still contribute for literature, give to the worldwide work, kingdom hall fund or contribute towards the upkeep of your local kh?

I haven't given for about 5 years now, altough i visit some meeting once a year to "show up".
Since they sold swedens (a huge one) assembly hall for 7M$ some years ago... and no one in sweden know where the money is today...
... they can pay all costs by themselves until they make the accounting public!

List of family/friends lost to the Watchtower cult? (suicides)
by hubert inafter reading about puternuts (ari) suicide, and also reading about sabine and js losing their daughter to this cult, i think it would be a fitting memorial, so to speak, to write a list of all the people we know who died because of this cult.
i also know that cruzanheart lost her dad to it, too.
i'm sure there are many here that can make a list of suicides brought on by the shunning/threatening policies of the watchtower cult.

Hi, Sweden here.
I have not seen this thread before here but i actually asked this question in the swedish xJV forum we have a few weeks ago.
Our betel have, when asked about it from a Journalist, stated that "-JV sweden dont have or has had any suicide connected to Jehovas Witnesses"
Sweden have about 22.000 witnesses... we have heard about some suicide case here and there, but when we (xJV:s on the forum) collected those we knew about toghether in the first post for the topic, we did really fast (little over one week) came up to over 60 cases in sweden.
